Cookies Policy

This policy explains how theparentwill.com.au uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things between pages and visits. For example, a cookie can remember that you have already set your cookie preferences.

We also use related technologies that work in a similar way: local storage, pixels and tags, and a tag management tool that controls which of these run and when. Throughout this policy, “cookies” means all of these.

2. Why we use them

We use cookies to make the website work, to understand how people find and use it so we can improve it, and to measure whether our advertising is reaching people who find it useful.

We do not use cookies to build detailed profiles of individuals, and we do not sell information collected through them.

We do not use cookies to collect anything about your legal matter. Client information is held in our practice systems, not in your browser.

3. What we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function and for your preferences to be respected. These cannot be switched off and are set without consent, because the site cannot operate without them. They include the cookie recording your consent choices, and cookies used for security and site delivery by our hosting provider.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager. Helps us understand which pages people visit, how long they stay and where they drop off, so we can improve the site’s content and structure. Data may be retained by Google for up to two years. Google’s privacy information: policies.google.com/privacy

Set only if you accept analytics cookies.

Advertising and measurement

Google Ads. Lets us see which advertisements led to enquiries, so we do not spend money on advertising that isn’t helping anyone.

Set only if you accept advertising cookies.

Functional

Cookies that remember choices you make so you don’t have to make them again. These are currently limited to our booking tool. If we add features requiring more, we will update this page.

4. Managing your choices

On this website. When you first visit, a banner asks which categories you accept. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Declining analytics and advertising cookies will not affect your ability to read the site, book a consultation or contact us.

In your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their privacy or security settings. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may stop parts of the site working properly.

Directly with Google. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties rather than by us. Those providers handle the data they collect under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. These are principally:

If you follow a link from our site to another website, that site’s cookie practices apply, not ours.

6. Changes and contact

We will update this page when the tools on our website change, particularly if we add new analytics, advertising, booking or embedded-content services. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
